Bio

Peter Dennis attained a B.A. in History at Boston College, was the President of the Model United Nations club and Secretary of the Boston College Democrats. After college Peter went on to Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law where he earned a J.D. and a Certificate in Public Policy.  During this period he had internships at the American Bar Association’s Commission on Domestic Violence and Common Cause National.

During the course of the past decade, he has worked on the political campaigns of Congressman Chris Van Hollen, County Executive Ike Leggett, and State Senator Jamie Raskin. In retrospect, he believes he could not have asked for better role models.  Following his work on the Van Hollen campaign, he spent several months working as one of Rep. Van Hollen's Legislative Correspondents in the House of Representatives, which gave him the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the issues most important to the citizens of Montgomery County.

In the past year Peter has passed the bar exam, will soon be sworn in as an attorney in New Jersey and hopefully Washington, DC soon thereafter. He plans to sit for the Maryland bar exam in July, 2011. Also during the course of the past year Peter started a small web-based business, which is currently in its beta testing phase.  After its official launch later this summer, it will bring recognition to individuals throughout the country for doing good works while simultaneously raising money for charities and small-business startups.
